Kappa V recognizes the importance of the arts to all of our students' academic and social-emotional well-being.  We continue to foster relationships with a variety of community-based organizations as well as other arts-based organizations to supplement the mandated academic policy requirements built into our normal school day.  Collaborations with Broadway Junior, Victory Music & Dance, Purelements, New Victory Theater, Met Opera, and St. Ann’s Warehouse provide our students with the opportunity to engage in various artistic activities.

While collaborating with various organizations as well as utilizing other funding, we have managed to offer artistic disciplines such as Steel Pan, Drama, Tap Dance, Modern Dance, Photography and Martial Arts.  Our scholars have several opportunities to share these learned artistic skills with our school community during school-wide showcase performances, Borough Arts Festivals, Broadway Junior..., CSD 23 District Shareouts, as well as various Steel Pan performances throughout the school year.  Students also have the opportunity to participate in extended day programming during the weekday until 6:00 PM, providing scholars with additional opportunities to refine their skills in photography and dance.  On Club days, students actively participate in all of the above including Archery, Cosmetology, and Visual Arts.  Kappa V continues to add additional programming based on students' feedback and requests.
